What an amazing ride it has been! With over 1000% of our original goal reached we are so excited to see what sort of grand finale might be in store!

Closed Alpha Preview

Shortly after Kickstarter we are turning off the demo and transition into our Closed Alpha - only available to backers(!) - from there on game content, levels and mechanics will be added continuously including YOUR feedback and suggestions!

Here is a little preview of what is about to come!

Dungeons

Group up with your friends and venture into the depth of the darkest dungeons to find treasures and defeat epic bosses

These dungeons will be procedurally generated to allow for a different and randomized experience every time you do a run through - so be prepared to do some heavy testing of our algorithms soon!

 N-Corp training facility

Everyone starts their career inside the N-Corp training facility where you are equipped with the necessary technology, knowledge and skills to be prepared for your journey.

Pre-Season Pass and exclusive rewards/cosmetics

Everyone who plays during Closed Alpha and therefore helps us test the game receives 25+ exclusive rewards only obtainable during Alpha. These are for example cosmetics for your character and/or Chainmons, taunts/animations in battle and special emojis among other rewards. All of those can be traded with other players anytime - similar to the Kickstarter rewards.

New Stretch Goal

As requested by many, we have revealed our final stretch goal for this campaign - Animated Cutscenes

In addition to the scripted sequences during the story, quests and dialogues we are adding animated Cutscenes to key events during the story. 

We will enable late-pledges through BackerKit and alternative payments after the campaign is over so even if we do not reach all stretch goals now, future pledges will continue to count towards these goals!

 Other news

Game Server Upgrades

Based on the data of 1.500 Demo testers during this campaign alone we have already started migrating our technology to a new system that will allow us to scale our game servers into the millions if necessary while reducing delays for all players no matter where they are geographically located!

Player outside of Europe will benefit the most from this change.

New Team Members

Due to the overwhelming success we are extending our team with new artists and an additional programmer!

As we head into our final week of the campaign, we have more exciting developments for you!

New Stretch Goal Passed!

Yesterday evening we passed our 100.000 EUR (~$120.000 USD) stretch goal, which means Chainmonsters will now have access to a new area called Eluvia Park (name TBD). Now you'll get to complete dynamic and weekly changing challenges, hang out in a special place during the weekends with your friends and to play with your Mons!

If you have played the multiplayer demo, there is a good chance you have not found all Chainmons yet! Catch them all and try them out before the demo disappears after Kickstarter!

Anitons Shout Out

Anitons is an open world monster-collecting RPG where you start your adventure in the wilderness, fight wild Anitons, and collect your own unique squad. Every Aniton you obtain can help you fight and farm. Catch every known Aniton, battle other players, build the biggest farm or just get lost in a world full of life!

We have only about 12 days left for the campaign and have some exciting developments for you!

Open and Transparent Development

Smart Contracts

In order to make our development processes as open and as transparent as possible, we have just released our initial smart contract set onto Github:

Bug-Tracker / Community Ideas

We also have a Discord integration with Codecks which we use to develop features and fix bugs during development. https://open.codecks.io/chainmonsters

When you report a bug or have an amazing idea for the game, this will be added there and can be upvoted by the whole community!

Please note that internally we are on the Alpha version already so the demo won't be updated/fixed as it will be disabled after Kickstarter. Once we open up the Closed Alpha to Kickstarter backers we will start fresh with the bug/issue reporting :)

Community involvement

We have been asked a lot on what impact and involvement you guys will have on the development and here we try to give you some examples:

When we create new Chainmons, we will have regular votings on new potential candidates including their name, appearance and much more. Once we go into Full-Production there will be tons of playable new areas that we create internally or together during livestreams(!) - but the chance is very high that not all of these areas will end up in the game! Help us find the best, playtest them, send us feedback and if you are crazy then access our nightly builds that are literally hot from the press. (No 100% guarantee that these will work properly though)

Content-Creators - We love, adore and actively support fan-art, streamers, youtubers and any kind of content creators! You are allowed to stream and record gameplay videos of the Closed Alpha once it launches and we might be working on a Twitch Drops integration that allows both viewers and streamers to be rewarded for sharing the game... ;)



Shout-out

Our friends at Arclands  have a beautiful Kickstarter campaign going and we wanted to use this opportunity to do a quick shoutout to them. With its great design and SNES/ZELDA/Stronghold influenced visuals it definitely caught our attention and it deserves some more exposure in our opinion.

Arclands is a game about creating a buzzing village and becoming a powerful enough wizard to defend it.

You're a wizard who got banished from their home because they rivaled the ruling wizard in power. What you gonna do, that's wizard rule right there. Banished citizens are sent to the Arclands - a treacherous collection of islands inhabited by monsters which are attracted to everything magic. That's bad for you and your followers, so the only way to survive is to grow and fortify your village. You will see it grow from a loose collection of rugged tents to a heavily fortified city, attract other banished refugees and discover the secrets of the Arclands.
